Mike Hofmeister

CEO

Mike Hofmeister is a health care executive with over 25 years of experience and a successful track record driving top and bottom-line growth. He is currently the CEO of Pillar Health Group, a multi-state $50M+ provider of in-home care services to clients with chronic conditions. Prior to Pillar Health Group, Mike served as Chief Commercial Officer for GrandPad, where he was responsible for B2B Enterprise strategy bringing senior friendly technology into the health care arena. GrandPad is a simple, safe, and secure platform that supports telehealth’s critical role in providing accessible, quality care to older adults. Before GrandPad, Mike was Operating Group President for The Mentor Network/Sevita Health – Adult Day Health, Inc., where he oversaw a business with over $100M of revenue, and drove revenue growth of $66M in 3 years, via acquisitions and De Novo development, entering 4 additional states. Sevita Health is one of the largest providers of community-based in-home care services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in the United States. Mike has an MBA from Regis University School of Management and MS & BS from Eastern Michigan University.

Cory Thomas

CFO

Cory has held senior leadership roles in finance and operations for over 20 years. Most recently, he served as the CFO for HRMD Management, a management service organization for a large physician practice. During his tenure, he led the company through a successful conversion to Oracle NetSuite. The year prior, Cory was a founding employee for a startup in the behavioral health technology space, serving as CFO and Interim COO. Cory spent over 25 years at Horizon Health, culminating in his roles as EVP and COO for the last four years of his tenure, and as CFO for a decade. He was instrumental in the acquisition growth and ultimate sale of a large segment of Horizon. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. Cory enjoys watching sports, riding his Peloton bike, and being a handyman around the house. He and his wife reside in Flower Mound, TX. They have two adult sons and three dogs.

JP Pantin

Director, Corporate Development

Before becoming the Director of Corporate Development, JP lead the Pennsylvania region of Pillar Health Group. He continuously grew the company in the time he was there before shifting his focus towards PHG’s M&A efforts. Before joining the Pillar team, JP was a Finance & Strategy Manager at Robinhood Markets where he directly reported to the Robinhood Crypto CFO. JP lead and supported high impact initiatives including Robinhood’s largest acquisition. Before Robinhood, JP worked at J.P. Morgan, working with endowments, foundations, and high net worth individuals to maximize their portfolio returns.  He has a BS in Business Administration from the Berkeley Haas School of Business. Today, JP focuses on exercising daily, cooking healthy meals, and following the capital markets. He's also an ultramarathon runner!

Will Douglass

Analyst, Corporate Development

Will began his career working for Deloitte performing financial due diligence on mergers and acquisitions. His focus was on larger buy side transactions for private equity clients across infrastructure, energy, entertainment, technology, and more Prior to joining Pillar Health Group, Will spent some time working for Omega Holdings in corporate development. His focus was on crafting the narrative for strategic growth which focused on acquisitions and expanding product offerings. Will earned his Master of Professional Accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin. Will is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. He enjoys playing golf, Scuba diving, and learning about new subjects.

Angie Shaffner

Vice President, Operations

Before joining Pillar Health Group as VP of Operations, Angie has been in numerous Operational, Quality and Compliance leadership roles in the healthcare industry, with 33 years of experience in Home Health, Hospice, Primary Home Care and Infusion. Angie has facilitated successful attainment of ACHC, CHAP and TJC Accreditations, as well as sits on multiple TAHCH committees focused upon Quality and Compliance initiatives that improve healthcare for all Texans. She brings experience in EMR development, regulatory expertise and strives to direct operations ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization. Angie was drawn to Pillar Health Group due to the diversity of the healthcare portfolio and the company's unwavering commitment to Compliance, Quality and providing the best care possible to our most vulnerable population. In her down time, Angie has 2 adult children and 5 granddaughters who keep her busy with sports, cheer and a myriad of extracurricular activities. She enjoys decorating for all holidays, but is a self-proclaimed lover of all things Christmas.

Jessi Spear

Director, Compliance

Jessi began her nursing career as an Oncology nurse at Fort Worth's county hospital, JPS, where she worked assisting transitioning Oncology patients to palliative and hospice care services. She quickly learned that her passion was in home health and hospice care. For the last 11 years, Jessi has advanced in her career, transitioning from a patient-care nurse, Team Leader, nurse educator/trainer, landing eventually as a Certified Coding Expert, Certified OASIS Expert, Utilization Specialist and Quality & Compliance Director. In addition, Jessi enjoys education, regulatory compliance and the challenge of an ever-changing care delivery system. Jessi resides in North Fort Worth with her Daughter and her spoiled cat and dog. In her free time, she enjoys crafting and listening to music.

Tracy Barnett

Director, Quality

Prior to joining PHG, Tracy accumulated over 15 years of nursing and leadership. Most recently Tracy has been the Director of Quality for a large Texas-based hospice organization, where she focused on systems and process improvement to align with CMS regulations. She brings Coding, Intensive Care/Oncology, Utilization Review and education/training expertise to her role. As the Director of Quality, Tracy has developed EMR processes, improved patient experience/satisfaction and improved overall employee satisfaction. Tracy earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University and roots on her Red Raiders every chance she gets. She enjoys reading, running, and attending her children's sporting events. Tracy is married to her High School sweetheart, Zach, with whom she has 3 children and 2 pugs. They reside in Aledo.

Michael McGibbon

President, Texas

Michael McGibbon is the President of the Texas region and is also a part owner in the companies. Michael has an  extensive background in home health care marketing, strategy, and operations. Michael founded  Haven Home Health in 2003 and grew the company to a 600-patient census before selling the  company to LifeCare. He went on to serve as CEO of both Haven and Beyond Faith Home Care &  Rehab. Prior to is time in home health, Michael worked for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in  Accounting and Financial Management and before that he was with Perot Systems Corp. where  he was a Business Development Executive. Michael is originally from Jamaica but grew up in  Florida. He got is undergrad in Accounting from Florida A&M university. He is married with three  kids and lives in Plano, TX. He is also active in his community as a Boy Scout Troop Leader.

Sagal Ismail

President, Arizona

Sagal Ismail serves as the President for Odyssey Services Corporation in the state of Arizona. She is a healthcare executive with over 12 years of experience in the IDD and Home Healthcare industry. Prior to Odyssey Services and Pillar Health Group, Sagal operated several nursing-supported group homes, providing in-home nursing care and non-medical care within Arizona through Spectrum Home Healthcare. Spectrum was later acquired by Arizona Mentor/Sevita in 2020, where she continued to oversee additional services post-acquisition in her capacity as Regional Director. Sagal successfully led the acquisition of Spectrum Home Healthcare, an agency with over $9M in annual revenue. Following the acquisition, the agency’s annual revenue grew to $25M, and she was responsible for managing over 5 service lines. Sagal graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelors in International Studies and minoring in Public Health.

Amanda Cotton

President, Oklahoma

Prior to joining the Pillar Health team as President of the Oklahoma region, Amanda served in various senior leadership roles in hospice, home health care, skilled nursing, and consulting. Throughout her 20 year career she has had experience leading De Novo home health operational teams, onboarding new acquisition sites, as well as leading successful, high performance sales and marketing teams in a multi-state, multi-site capacity in home health, hospice and skilled nursing facilities for Gentiva Health Services, formally known as Kindred Healthcare, Elara Caring, and Medicalodges, Inc.

Amanda earned her bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management and Leadership, and an MBA from Friends University in Wichita, Ks. She is currently 6 credit hours from finishing her second Master’s degree in Healthcare Leadership.

Amanda grew up on a farm south of Wichita, Ks. and likes traveling, fishing, camping, and spending time with her three amazing children and her fiancé.

Jim Wilson

President, Oregon

Jim was born and raised In Portland, Oregon.

He graduated from the Oregon Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Computer Systems Engineering.

After graduating from OIT - Jim spent the majority of his career in various technology and operational roles in various industries including the non-profit world. Jim has worked for General Motors/Electronics Data Systems (EDS), Freightliner, Avia, Nike, Maxtek, New Edge Networks/EarthLink, Earth Class Mail, Sunrise Enterprises, and companies he founded - Varehouse and HealthDNATrax 

In those experiences he has held executive/C-level roles responsible for the P&L and corporate strategy of those organizations. 

In his spare time - Jim likes to read, cook, camp, fish, and travel to see his 3 adult children and 1 grandchild.

Tony Liccione

President, Pennsylvania

Before becoming the President of the Pennsylvania region, Tony Liccione served as the CEO of Serving Spirit Home Care LLC for a few years, overseeing significant growth and integration into Pillar Health Group. Prior to this, he was the Chief Operating Officer and Partner of Doc-tor.com Holdings, focusing on electronic healthcare systems and revenue cycle management. Tony also held senior management positions at Bristol Myers Squibb, where he directed global teams in regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and technology implementation. He has played key roles in mergers, acquisitions, and corporate quality initiatives. Today, Tony focuses on identifying growth opportunities within Pennsylvania for Pillar Health Group and continues to enhance the company's reputation for exceptional care.
